Is it possible to top the ultimate in bad taste in the RockArt Museum World? Yes there is and what could
be more outragioulsy fun than going to a Mob Museaum? Well, it hasn't happened yet, but it certainly is in the works, and you know the city has to be Las Vegas in the state of Nevada.
They're only looking for a proposed $50 million dollars stimulus package from the United States government. They've already received $3.6 million in federal grants with close to an equal amount in state and local money since the federal government deeded the building to the city for just $1.00 in 2000. A total of $15 million has been raised & Scarlet Bond is wondering why the museaum board members aren't asking the local Hotel and Casino's to scrape up the rest of the $50 million dollars.
The creative director of the planned museum, Dennis Barrie, who also curated the International Spy Museum in Washington and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, said the structure was the second-oldest in Las Vegas and needed a $26 million restoration.
