Mission Statement:

It is my most sincere aim, as a contributing writer to rockazine.com, to tell a story about being part of a musical experience rather than simply reviewing a concert or interviewing a band.

With LaLa Land, I hope to share a more personal approach to covering a musical performance, through the perspective of an uprooted New York screenwriter set adrift amongst the surrealistic beauty and unearthly gloss of Los Angeles.

Note: For those unfamiliar with screenplay format, INT./EXT. LOCATION - DAY/NIGHT are 'slug lines' which set up interior/exterior, location and time of day for each given scene, followed by description and dialogue; V.O. denotes a character voice over; O.S. denotes something said off screen.
